QR content and local files

QR content is generated on your device. We do not upload the text of your QR, contacts, Wi-Fi password or files to our account service. Unsaved input stays in app memory until you close it. The app does not maintain an automatic history of QR content.

A QR code exposes its encoded information to anyone who can scan it. Images and documents use public links, hosted by their owners. Saved PNG/SVG files stay where you save them. Windows controls clipboard history and synchronization if you enable those features.

Microsoft sign-in and the free QR

One free QR requires sign-in with a personal Microsoft account. Microsoft handles authentication; our app does not receive your Microsoft password. The app holds authentication tokens in memory during the session. Browser sign-in sessions are managed separately by Microsoft and your browser.

The account service receives an access token and a SHA-256 fingerprint derived from QR content and color. It verifies the token and stores a protected account identifier, a protected fingerprint of the first QR and the claim date. Stored identifiers and fingerprints are protected with a server-side keyed hash. They are pseudonymous data, not anonymous data.

This record enforces one free QR across devices and reinstalls. Exact retries of the first QR are allowed to recover a lost response. A paid active Store subscription does not require calling the free-QR service.

Subscriptions and Microsoft

Microsoft Store handles payment, renewal and subscription management. QR Studio receives price and license information to determine access, not your payment-card details. Microsoft processes authentication and Store data under its Privacy Statement.

No in-app advertising

This Windows version contains no advertising SDK and does not display advertisements. The advertising practices described for JobLog games do not apply to QR Studio.

Service operation and support

Hosting infrastructure processes network addresses and request metadata needed to deliver the account service. If you contact support, we receive your email and the details you choose to send. Please do not send passwords, access tokens, sensitive QR content or payment-card details.

The optional Copy diagnostics action copies app version, build, configuration status, license state, language and timestamp. It does not include QR content, access tokens or your account identifier, and sends nothing automatically.

Retention and your choices

The free-QR record has no automatic expiry in the current implementation: it remains to recognize that the allowance was used. Removing the app does not remove this server record. Contact support to request access, correction or deletion of account-related records, or to ask about service logs and support correspondence. We may need proportionate verification of your request; do not email your password or token. Deletion of the claim record removes the record of the used allowance.

Language settings are stored on your device. You can remove app data and exported files through Windows. Canceling a subscription and requesting data deletion are separate actions; manage billing through Microsoft. This policy will be updated if processing changes before or after release.
