JobLog Privacy Policy
Single purpose
JobLog helps job seekers autofill job application forms and track job applications locally in their browser.
Information stored locally
JobLog stores your autofill profile, application tracker, saved job descriptions, follow-up notes, saved answers, application defaults, and license state locally using Chrome storage.
Information used on job pages
When you use JobLog on supported job application pages, the extension reads page labels, form fields, required-field indicators, resume upload fields, page title, and the current job page URL so it can provide autofill, review, highlighting, and save-job features. If you choose "Save with job description," JobLog also reads visible job description text from that page and stores it locally with the saved application.
Job search data is not sent to JobLog
JobLog does not transmit your autofill profile, saved applications, job descriptions, notes, saved answers, or job search history to the developer. This information stays in your browser unless you choose to share it yourself, such as when contacting support.
License verification
If you activate Pro, JobLog may send your license key, extension version, installation identifier, and license status request to https://api.myjoblog.app over HTTPS to verify whether your subscription is active. This license check does not include your autofill profile, applications, job descriptions, or notes.
Payments
Paid subscriptions, checkout, receipts, billing details, payment method handling, and customer portal access are handled by Polar. JobLog does not receive or store your payment card details.
Sensitive application defaults
If you choose to save answers such as gender, race/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, work authorization, or sponsorship status, those answers stay locally in your browser. You can leave any of these set to "Do not autofill" or "Prefer not to answer."
No sale, advertising, or unrelated use
JobLog does not sell your data, does not use your data for advertising, and does not transfer job search data to third parties for marketing or unrelated purposes.
Human access
The developer does not read your locally stored job search data. If you contact support, only the information you choose to include in your support message will be available for support purposes.
Security and server logs
License verification requests are transmitted over HTTPS. The license API and website host may process basic technical logs such as request time, IP address, user agent, requested URL, and error information for security, abuse prevention, reliability, and debugging.
No automatic submission
JobLog does not submit job applications for you. It fills fields and shows a review panel so you can check the application before submitting manually.
Remote code
JobLog does not execute remote code. Extension logic is packaged inside the extension.
Deletion and control
You can edit or clear your saved profile and application entries in the extension. You can also remove locally stored JobLog data by uninstalling the extension or clearing the extension's Chrome storage.
