JobLog Filter privacy

Your job-search data stays in Chrome.

JobLog Filter reads visible job-card information only to calculate and display signals on supported job-search pages.

Effective July 19, 2026LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor

What the extension processes

JobLog Filter processes information already visible on supported job-search pages, including job identifiers, posting age, applicant signals, hiring-status labels, and employer ratings when a supported site provides them. The available signals differ by site.

This information is used on the page to calculate and display listing markers. JobLog Filter does not use it to make hiring predictions or employment decisions.

What is stored in Chrome

  • Filter thresholds and marker preferences are stored with Chrome Sync.
  • Recently seen job identifiers and timestamps are stored locally for up to 30 days.
  • Local recent-job history is capped at 5,000 entries and pruned automatically.
  • Onboarding and dismissed-guide preferences are stored locally.

What is not collected or shared

JobLog Filter does not send job-card data, search queries, browsing history, identity, or stored job identifiers to JobLog or third parties. It does not sell user data, use job-search data for advertising, or transmit it to an external analytics service.

Links to JobLog

JobLog opens only after you click a JobLog link. Those links may contain general campaign and placement tags, but they do not include a job title, company, job identifier, search query, or application information. The JobLog website operates separately under the JobLog privacy policy.

Your controls

You can clear recently seen job identifiers with Reset New to you in the extension popup. You can also reset filter defaults there. Uninstalling JobLog Filter removes its local extension data; Chrome may retain synced preferences according to your Chrome Sync settings.

Policy changes

If JobLog Filter changes how it processes or stores data, this page will be updated before those changes take effect. The effective date at the top of the page indicates the current version.
