Privacy Policy
About this policy
Room For Worlds is a Windows application published by JobLog. This policy covers Room For Worlds and its optional world unlocks. Effective date: November 2, 2026. Questions and requests: support@myjoblog.app.
Local settings and progress
The application stores your selected language, preferences, world progress and demo usage on your Windows device. No Room For Worlds account is required for the free fireplace or the world demos. The current application has no developer-operated advertising SDK, analytics service or server that receives gameplay data.
Desktop transition images
When you enable live wallpaper, the application temporarily captures the selected monitor to animate the transition. This image may include information visible on your desktop. It is processed locally in memory for the transition, is not saved by the application as an image file, and is not sent to JobLog. It is not used for advertising or analytics.
Microsoft Store purchases
Microsoft Store handles payments and purchase accounts. Room For Worlds requests regional product prices and add-on licence information to determine which worlds are available. JobLog does not receive your payment-card details. Microsoft processes Store, Windows and WebView2 data under its Privacy Statement. A Store account may be required to buy or restore a purchase.
Demo usage records
Each paid world has a separate ten-minute usage demo, including wallpaper use. The local demo journal contains a format version, revision number, world identifiers and integer usage counters. It contains no account credentials, advertising identifiers or desktop images. The journal is protected with Windows DPAPI and an integrity signature.
Retention on your device
Preferences and progress remain on your device until you remove them. The demo journal is designed to remain after ordinary uninstall and reinstall so that reinstalling does not grant a new demo. Its locations are %LOCALAPPDATA%\EmberWorlds\Licensing and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\EmberWorlds\Licensing. These internal folder names retain the original project name. Depending on the Windows version and installation method, other local preferences may also remain after uninstall. The application does not send these records to JobLog and there is no server-side demo account.
Support correspondence and this website
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to respond to your request and investigate the reported issue. Do not send passwords, access tokens, payment-card details or screenshots containing unrelated private information. Website and email infrastructure providers process network and message metadata needed to deliver these services. This policy page contains no application analytics or advertising scripts.
Your choices and requests
You can close the application or exit live wallpaper at any time. You can remove local application data through Windows; uninstalling alone may retain the demo journal and preferences described above. For help locating or removing retained data, or to request access, correction or deletion of support correspondence held by JobLog, contact the address above. Store purchase records and refunds are managed by Microsoft through its account and support services. We may request information necessary to verify a data request, but will never ask for your password.
Changes
We will update this page and its effective date if these practices change. This policy describes the current Windows application and does not describe the practices of other JobLog products.
